The quality of your fiber starts with your shearer!! You control what goes into the bag!!

1. Clean your alpacas a few days before shearing, its easier to get the bad stuff out of the fiber while its still on the alpacas vs. once its in the bag. Keep second cuts and seconds separate from main blanket.

2. Bag and mark all fiber as either first or seconds

3. Keep dry

4. Skirt fiber to get the best results in your yarn.

5.  (Promote and sell your fiber) this is the by-product of your business.

   Fiber processing and order information        

 We want to ensure customer satisfaction with the outcome of our processing; therefore, in order to obtain superior quality in your end product, we will process your fiber by the following method to the point needed to achieve your requested order:

 Sorting, washing, opening & conditioning, dehairing, carding, spinning, plying, steaming, cone winding / skeining

All fiber should be skirted prior to shipping if you prefer we skirt your fiber for you and a fee of $9.00LB

Fiber must be a minimum of 2" and maximum of 6"

Fiber over 6" will be charged $6.50LB per order.

Any fiber deemed unsuitable for processing will be returned at the expense of owner.

Preparing your fiber prior to sending:

  1. Remove as much vegetable matter as possible
  2. Remove any "beans", heavily soiled areas, matted fiber, & 2nd cuts
  3. (We prefer to wash your fiber for you and reserve the right to rewash)

Shipping instructions:

  1. Please include a completed order form (we can e-mail one to you) with each lot of fiber to be processed.
  2. We will contact you when we receive your fiber & again upon completion of your order.
  3. An estimated 50% deposit is required with your order. (Please realize that the weight of your finished product will be less than the pre-processing weight)
  4. Final payment, along with shipping charges, will be due prior to shipment of your order.  I will use your UPS or FED EX account for return shipment if you prefer.
